Privacy Policy

ShiftMom ("we", "us") provides a planning and coordination app that helps families organize practical support during the postpartum period. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. ShiftMom is not a medical service.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address (used for sign-in).
  • Plan information you add: household name, an estimated due date or baby's birth date, tasks, schedule items, notes, and support templates you choose.
  • Helper invitations: the name and the email address or phone number you provide for a helper, used to send your invitation through your own device.
  • Subscription status: whether you have a free or premium plan (purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play, not by us).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive health records, payment card numbers, or government identifiers. Please do not enter medical information into the app.

How we use information

  • To provide and operate the app (your plan, tasks, schedule, and support circle).
  • To deliver reminders and notifications you enable.
  • To respond to support requests and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

How information is stored and shared

Your data is stored on our hosting and database provider, Supabase, which processes data on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit. Members of your support plan (the people you invite) can see the plan's tasks, schedule, and members. We may share information with service providers that help us run the app, or when required by law.

Invitations and messaging

When you invite a helper, the invitation is sent using your device's email, messaging, or WhatsApp app — we do not send messages from our servers, and we don't store message contents. The contact details you enter are used to create the invitation and identify the invited helper within your plan.

Your choices and rights

  • You can edit your profile and plan information in the app at any time.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing info@shiftmom.app.
  • Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion, and portability.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. Completed tasks may be removed automatically over time to keep your plan manageable. You can request account deletion at any time, after which we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Children

ShiftMom is intended for adults coordinating postpartum support and is not directed to children. While a plan may include a baby's birth date as an organizing detail, the app is not designed to collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
